![]() Pitching WedgeMy buddy has a dilemma and i made a decision to post this for him since he doesnt have a pc so he can get a number of advice. My buddy has a collection of Top-Flite Tour somethings.. I dont know specifically what they're called however I was wondering if anybody was having no different problem he is. My buddies pitching wedge is definatly messed up. He was having alot of trouble getting loft along the greens and such even when putting the ball at his front foot. Im pretty sure it is the loft of the club however he is hitting his Pitching Wedge 150-160 yards. We did a trial and hit from the white 150 marker on our home course and he nailed the green. We also did it from a 170 marker and he was 10 yards short.. Im sure it is the loft however why is this with this set? Does someone else have no different set and have no different problem? Read more on this topic What club do I drop when using 4 wedges?Hi everybody,I have decided to go to a 4 wedge "programme" as described by David Pelz in his "Short Game Bible". I noticed that the weakest part of my game has been from 100 yards in, and I am taking steps to fix it like spending the majority of my practice time chipping and also moving to a 4 wedge programme. My current set-up is as follows: - driver 10.5' - 3W 15' - 5W 18' - 3H 20' - 4H 23' - 5i - 9i - PW 47' - GW 52' - LW 56' - SW 60' - putter I was thinking of dropping the 5W and adjusting the 3H to 19'. My just question immediately is: which club do I pull out? I played a practice round (no score) however I had 15 clubs in the bag as I was not sure what club to drop. Any suggestions? Hans. Read more on this topic Plan of attack for playing your wedge shotHey guys, I only recently picked up a TaylorMade 56 Degree wedge for a pretty great cost over the holidays and had a belief that it would be a great weapon in my arsenal. I've just hit this club at the driving range, and not at the course, due to the poor conditions in my city.Only wondering as to how you guys would play your wedges, more specifically a 56 degree wedge (on an approach shot to the green). I have been told to have the golf ball back of my stance, and swing down on the ball, hitting the lower part of the ball cleanly to promote more spin so the ball will stop on the greens. Is there a certain method you use? how is your stance? take a divot? swing the wedge similar to a normal iron? Any and all suggestions and techniques to hit this baby would be greatly appreciated.
