![]() Wedge HelpI was hoping somebody here could assist me locate my dilemma and assist work it out. Here are the symptoms:-All of my wedge shots are very thin and line drive low. -They're also going WAY right. Here is an example. Yesterday I was 90 yds out, my usual pitching wedge. I hit and finished up 40 yds to the right of the green and 30 short. The shot was aweful. This was the norm all day yesterday. I play the ball back in my stance, maybe 1 or 2 balls from center. I'm hitting 48*, 54* and 60* callaway forged wedges. I didnt even hit the 60 yesterday since the 48 and 54 were going sooo bad. Any advise or practice drill would be super. Thank you in advance. I would hit four balls, measure the center of the cluster, and repeat 2 more times. The conditions were perfect, so I was just getting about a yard of forward bounce, creating all of my distances great "carry" yardages. Then I remembered, and I think I read it in Dave Pelz's Short Game Bible, however I typed them up, printed them out, and place them on the underside of my shaft near the grip. P.S. I never hit a wedge actually "full." I attempt to swing relatively simple with my wedges. I could simply get 10 more yards out of my wedges, however at a much greater risk of ballooning balls, overspinning them, or even only hitting a poor shot. It's not horrendous immediately, however I would love to be in under 10 feet any moment I am 50-120 yards from the pin.My main idea for practice is beginning to play a par-3 chip and pitch course twice a few weeks where I have got plenty of 100-50 yard par-3's mixed in. Has anybody play these courses? Think it's worth it? Have any other techniques for wedge accuracy? Read more on this topic Other Golf Related Topics
