What truly bugs me about this article is that the detailed facts in it's simply wrong. I'm referring to the section where he describes what makes a ball slice. Unfortunitely, it appears that Mr. DeNunzio was only regurgitating common knowledge regarding the golf swing, and was not truly intrigued in finding out the facts. The article is found here at http://www.golf.com. If the three diagrams where he explains the three diverse types of slices are true, then golf is apparently the single thing in the known universe that's able to defy the laws of physics. If the swing path is straight down the target line, and the clubface is open, the ball will NOT start out even remotely straight. The ball will begin out, at the very least (according to the laws of physics), in under 5/7 of the angle that the clubface is pointing, in relation to the angle between the clubface direction and the swing path direction. Here is a graphic representation of what I only described: ![]() I'm able to't assist however wonder, if this guy is the managing editor of the instruction section for a magazine as widely published as Golf Magazine, what about the remainder of the stuff that these guys spit out week after week? Anyway, I have just only began watching the first one - "The Driver - The way to Hit it Long." At only about 0:50 into the show, he hits a driver and you will be able to see the ballflight... a nice, big slice! I am absolutely certain he'd call it a power fade, however boy that thing turns. ![]() And he does it with a 907D1, too (the triangular, high-MOI one)! Anyway, I will add a note here in a bit after I watch several more episodes. Read more on this topic Other Golf Related Topics
