![]() Swing change tips? It's full blown winter here in Finland and immediately that the season is over I have decided to undergo a swing change during the winter. I am posting this hoping to hear from anybody who has undergone a drastic swing change.I begun playing golf this year, began early Can. I took a 2 day course to begin with only to obtain a feeling for the basics however have been working alone after that. I played about 80 rounds this year and have calculated that I have most likely struck about 12 000 full swing shots. By the finish of the year I got rather comfortable with my "homemade" swing and am immediately down to a 23 index. Even though I was steadily creating progress I felt that I'd most likely reach a plateau with my swing and felt that unless I change it I would've an incredibly difficult time in the future to boost further. I have immediately taken my first 2 lessons and have been working on my new swing for two weeks. My swing has pretty much been totally rebooted and I'm up to a point immediately where I can't turn back as I'm able to't truly use my old style anymore. So if you'd like, please describe how your swing change went. A number of interesting things would be: - How often did you take lessons? I'm currently taking one lesson a week and am willing to maintain this up for the entire winter season (about 4-5 months) if I need to. - How quick would you say that you progressed? How long would you estimate that it took for your new swing to feel like you may well do it in your sleep? This most likely varies depending on the way big of a change you have undergone. Personally I feel like I'm nearly beginning from scratch. - How often did you practice between sessions using your instructor? So far I've been practicing daily and I feel like it's nearly too much. The muscles in my lower back especially are very stiff. It's not a thing I'm able to't live with however I'm wondering if it is certain to have an adverse effect on my development. - How did you initiate your practice regime? I'm wondering if I ought to be hitting like half-shots with a wedge for a few weeks or what would be the best successful style of practicing the basics of my new swing. My current issue at the moment is to gain the ability to use my hand less and gain the ability to move the club by rotating across the spine. My old 2 plane swing required me to manipulate the club head with my wrists and in the new swing the arms must be passive which is a large change. Any thoughts on this are appreciated. It's a hugely frustrating time for me and it would be nice to hear a number of swing change survival stories to gain the ability to stay in a positive mood :) Read more on this topic Upper arms and body in downswing.I am having difficulties on my swing.Have a tendency to swing with my arm not making use of my upper body. I were taught I ought to stick my right upper arm(right hander) from elbow to shoulder with my side body on downswing until the impact. Is it right? Is there any drill for this, if it's right? Thank you. Read more on this topic Passive golf swing? This looks so straight forward, but I've a difficult time taking "the hit" out of my swing. You have heard commentators during tournament coverage mention the importance of tempo or possibly how David Toms putts and swings like there's "no ball there". It's human nature to observe the ball as the target and to attempt to ‘hit’ it, however in those rare moments when I'm able to forget the ball and only let it get in the way during an entire swing I hit it very much better. Here is an ideal example of a passive swing that goes right through the ball. Any thoughts on his techniques and/or method? (he is not a fan of stack and tilt). SubPar http://www.rdbgolftips.com/ Read more on this topic Other Golf Related Topics
