Need help with my slice...I know the problem, but how to cure it?

I have been a rec golfer for at least 10 years immediately, and only began picking it up again last summer. After the winter break, I have found that I am slicing the ball many more, most likely due to my new driver exagerating the issue more. However, I know the difficulty with my swing, it's only I do not know the way to cure it or locate drills to end it.

My difficulty is, when I start my downswing, I bend my torso inwards, causing a large open clubface. I think I'm shifting my weight to my left foot, however my body leans to the back. My right elbow only about ends up in my ribsIt's difficult to describe, and hopefully that makes sense... If you guys need a video of my swing to assist visualize, tell me, I'm able to most likely look after that.

I even now manage to hit the sweet spot 95% of the time, so I hit the ball long, and slice it wide. Usually I manage a 175 yard hit, however add a 50-100 yards slice to the ball, putting me in the other fairway, woods, swap, etc... I'm able to just envision that if I straigten out my shot that I'd be hitting 225+ on my drives.

Thank you for any/all the assist you guys could provide.

Help me find a Slice Cure!

Hello all,
Only join this good forum!

A number of info on me first: Have been playing golf seriously over the previous 6 month plus. I'm right-handed hitting my irons great and consistent. Putting is great. Not doing good with wedges around greens cause I even now do not have many experience on the way much power to place in yet, however I think I will get that with more practice.

My biggest dilemma and head ache immediately is hitting the fairway woods and driver. I use to hit it good sometimes, most likely 1 out of 10
I get a long straight one with my 3 wood with my natural load it up and let it go hard swing. Never was able to hit my driver consistent and the majority of time I get a nasty slice to the right with a hard swing... Lately I been going back to slicing my driver and I attempt all the diverse stance and swing attempting to go inside to out to the right as a number of suggest and the greatest I'm able to do is a long fade about 10-15 yards off center...

I know it's not my stance that is the dilemma cause if I adjust my stance or shoulder diverse ways it doesn't change the fade or slice. I know it's not my grip for the reason that I know I got that down pretty well and hit my irons great with a slight fade, however no slice. I understand that irons are on a different swing plane when compare to the longer woods and driver...

I think my difficulty is my down swing. I am attempting to correct my take away and back swing by slowing down alot and keeping it on a out to inside smooth back swing. I believe my difficulty is my down swing possibly going to much outside to in (into left) as I swing down pretty quick and harder the majority of the time on the downswing...

Is there anybody on this forum which could assist me fixing this dilemma of slicing and fading my driver and woods ? And possibly get more of a straight or draw shot on the woods and more significantly my driver instead of a nasty slice or natural fade to the right ?

If anybody has had this similar dilemma and conquered it and know what they fixed to slove this dilemma please post what ever suggestion you can need to assist me!!!

Thanks all for any assist...!

That damn slice

Geez it driving me insane lol.

Just happens amongst woods, irons are usually straight, only my aim is bad lol.

Anyway, 8 out of 10 of my drives result in a large slice :(

Ive read somewhere else several techniques, however when i got on the range it did not make much difference.

These included
1. Keeping your right arm closer to the body then driving it down towards the hip when you're beginning your front swing.
2. Keeping your right hand on top of the club during your swing.
3. When at the peak of your swing, start the downswing by moving your right hip forward which ought to then enable your right arm to drop down.

Does any of this sound right, if so i'd place it down to my method and then continue amongst driving range practice.

Any other techniques are much welcomed :)

Thank you in advance

Viper :)
