Where to take Lessons?

So it's time to begin looking at lessons and am searching for advice. As I see it I've 3 options...

and#8226; GolfTec
and#8226; Golf Galaxy
and#8226; Pro at a local course

I tend to be leaning at the moment towards GolfTec for the reason that although pricey I'd a great feel after casing the joint and discussing on the phone with them.. I also like that video footage from your session is made readily availble to you.

So I guess at the moment I'm leaning towards them over Galaxy, however I truly have no idea when it amounts to a local pro. I guess one hand I'd expect a level of competence from the GolfTec staff, however at an identical time I may not get as personalized experience as with a local Pro... However is a local Pro truly going to know the way to coach either? Sure they can play, however teaching and playing aren't an identical thing!

Any advice here? Or if you happen to know a great teacher in the NW burbs of Chicago I'll take specific recommendations as well :D

Lessons

Well, with all the stink I have made to others about getting lessons I have lastly done it for myself. All I can reveal is "Ouch." I discovered two new muscles in the progression and they're speaking to me immediately. I have decided that I am starting over and I do not care if my game goes to pot in the progression. I would like to do this the correct way.

Several things that we went over:
Do an improved job about preventing wrist hinge
Better posture - I was bending at the knees too much
Right hand strait (cover my watch) on finish
Post my left leg on follow through
Maintain spine angle all the way through

There was plenty to contend with, however I am signed up for a total of 5 lessons and he feels that we can work out my "other issues."

It feels like I am starting over again, however I am excited about getting it right this time.

Query About Whether to Get Lessons

I am playing tomorrow, and while I played excellently last time, I am still worried about my performance. Ever since I first pulled by back and then got a form of tendinitis on my elbows called Golfer's Elbow, I have not been no different since I returned from injury. I have been very inconsistent. A number of days I will be myself and shoot in the 90's, however then there shall be days where I'm able to't even strike the ball with no messing up and I will hit 100-105. Yes, I know I suck, golf just became an important hobby to me under a year ago.

I recently received my Golf Galaxy membership card in the mail and it came with 2 coupons, one for a free ten minute swing analysis. This got me into thinking, ought to I get lessons at GG? Would they assist me get better and remain consistent?

I have been supposedly having trouble keeping the club face square also including having a consistent swing, tempo-wise among other points of interest. My dad is like 54 and has been playing since his early twenties, he is a single digit handicapper. He can nearly always pinpoint the flaws in my game and tell me what I am doing right and wrong, however the single thing is he, nicely put, is an incredibly bad teacher. My dad is not the the majority of sensitive guy, even to his son, so he does not appreciate my learning process and gets frustrated in teaching me after just a mere few errors.

So, I've a few questions.

Has anybody been trained at Golf Galaxy prior to? What type of pricing is there? Do you go weekly, monthly, etc?

There's also a Golfsmith somewhat stupidly placed about 100 yards from the Golf Galaxy I go to, do they have Pros there? Are they any better?

And more significantly, is my game likely to be helped enough by these teachers to validate the time and more chiefly, cash spent?

If it matters, I played 2 days ago and I'd a usual round for me. I hit my driver between 250-300 yards, however not truly accurate. I am lucky I am stronger than your normal 15 year of age or else I would have not a thing going for me. I killed my Hybrid, hit that about 200 upwards. As always with me, I was afraid to talk my 7 Wood out of my bag in fear that I'd not hit the ball well, which I do not think I've ever done at the course, just at the range. My irons were so-so. I hit a number of the longer ones, usually 4, 5, and 6 pretty normally, however the 7, 8, 9, and Pitching Wedge were inconsistent and inaccurate. I could not hit it out of the sand to save my live, sand outs are something I truly must work on. Putting was normal for me, mostly 2 or 3 putts. I only must practice each weekend like I'm and I assume that'll better with time.

Thank you to everybody for any advice and the time you spent studying this, I only truly desire to get better.
