![]() BallooningWhen I got my irons several months ago I got regular flex steel shafts, however when getting a driver the fitter gave me the V2 proforce. I've noticed while I hit a wonderful driver, the Irons have been having a different flight thats good for accuracy however horrible in the wind. They seem to climb up high, I'm able to hit my 8 iron much higher than my sand wedge, however the distance is close to being no different. Is this only proper ball flight and I had been hitting low shots, or am I "ballooning" it?Read more on this topic "Stingers"Does anybody love to play shots like this? Tiger Woods does it at all times with a reduced iron (2 or 3 iron) or with his woods, he plays a truly low ball flight, and throws it off the back foot and hits down on it.I adore doing this for my 3 wood and 5 wood, especially if there is wind in my face and it's been dry for days. If I am like 210 out, I take out my 5 wood, throw off my middle-to-back of my stance, and hit down on it nearly similar to a 4 iron, and the ball stays truly low however it's pounded... I locate it truly fun playing this shot, someone else like doing this? Read more on this topic ClickThis year things lastly "clicked" for me on my full swing. I am immediately hitting the ball a lot lot more consistently and as result my shots are straighter and even longer. Interestingly it happened that things came together very rapidly in a span of about a fortnight. It was a result of three factors:1) An incredibly great lesson from my teaching pro. He took me from "grounders" to breaking 80 in four years. The lesson involved starting my downswing. I had been getting to a great position on the backswing, however was doing something funky when I began the club back. He showed me the way to begin the downswing with my body. This helped me get my weight moving forward and more on my front foot. Immediately I feel like I am hitting down on the ball as opposed to swinging up. 2) The slot drill that I got from the Golf Digest website was a wonderful learning device and allow me see precisely what it meant to be "in the slot." This helped in 2 ways. It eleminated casting and over the top swings which had plagued me, and it helped me make more consistent contact. I utilize this on the course immediately instead of practice swings. 3) I at last realize that I do not need to swing difficult to hit the ball far. I do not know precisely how/why this occurred. Only one day at the range I made a decision to only swing about 75% and make great contact. Suddenly I was hitting the ball better and farther than ever. I am pretty tall (6'4") and I guess I need a little time to let speed develop and to gain my weight forward. Consequencely, I began getting 20 yards more on my drives and am about a club longer on my irons. It's like my body is saying "Ohhh, so that is what you require me to carry out. OK no problemo." My pro says that he is seen this "press" thing prior to. He also says that once you obtain the "press" you rarely regress. That was nice to hear! Any other "press" stories out there? Anybody know how to create my putting "press?"

Oddly toward the finish of my last bucket I made a decision to attempt to straighten my back out a bit for the reason that it was feeling a bit sore. What I in fact did was rotate my hips several degrees forward. amazingly all my shots began to look good, with a nice high trajectory and nice and straight, vs shanks and low slices. I am wondering if anybody knows of any info on the relation of the hips to the spine and what the optimal angle is. It seemed to enable me to move my entire body much easier, and I guess since i sit in a chair all day long my hips aren't used to being in that position.Thoughts?
