What I would truly love to locate is a great DVD or publication that goes through a general golf related workout. I have found a bunch of individual exercises on the internet however I am fairly lazy (hence the must exercise more) so it would be nice if I could only have one source that contains a reasonable system of strength, balance, and flexibility teaching. If you've source's you have used in previous time - point me at them. Read more on this topic I need a golf shrink to cure my dreaded "hitch"Long story short, I consistantly had a slight tendency to break up my back swing and downswing, which It allowed me to work out of my swing over time. I was a 13 handicap very well on the way to becoming a single digit handicap with a solid all over game however losing strokes where a lot of the community of my ability do by having an awful hole here and there and three putting when I should not.About 3-4 months ago I began getting stuck when I swing the club, right at the peak of my back. Call it a hitch or a pause, however my swing isn't one smooth motion the way it use to be and it ought to be. Over time the more I attempt to fight the urge not to carry out this the more pronounced it becomes. There's one exception; about 2 months ago I went out and played like I never had this malady, on an incredibly windy day (the type of wind in which you're pleased to score 8-10 strokes above your norm) and I shot a 79. I began thinking that this was the finish of my plight, however alas it was a mean anomaly. Until about a few weeks ago if I could slow down my back swing and take away to a certain point and than manage to gain myself into a rhythm this dilemma was manageable. Recently as of the last couple of rounds it has become an absolute pain. The more I fight the urge to pause the worse it gets. I've tried going to the range and doing mental exercises with no a ball, with no a club. Amazingly if you ask me to take a practice swing, it's perfect (relatively speaking). Lo and behold I address the golf ball and my tempo, rhythm and smoothness vanish. I'm getting to the point where the game is beginning to become mentally exhausting and I'm about to go insane. It's a wonderful offensive weapon - it dives down over the net and kicks past the opponent. It's good at Wimbledon where the bounce is already pretty low. Oh, wait, this is golf... Several pages earlier, we locate: ![]() Just 2 thoughts spring to mind:
BTW, immediately all of Bobby Clampett's "I adore it when Tiger takes a divot with his 3-wood" comments make sense. ![]() And only for kicks, let's have a peek at Golf Magazine, same month. ![]() Hot damn! My average score this year is 77! I am six shots better, on average, than a scratch handicap golfer! Wowee! However wait, if they are shooting 73 half the time (last 10 of 20!), then that means they are shooting 93 the other half of the time? Dave Pelz has apparently skipped the weed and gone straight to the hard stuff. And I do not remember the previous time I'd a round with no a birdie. My average is at least in the high 1s - how in the heck do scratch golfers manage just one birdie per round? Later in an identical issue they talk about "how close you're" to being Tiger Woods and the scratch golfer listed there makes 5 birdies per round. Read more on this topic Other Golf Related Topics
