"Forgot" how to hit driver and hybrid. what's wrong?

So my wife picked up an r7 460 and rescue dual for me from Dick's for the reason that of the deal that they had (purchase the driver, get the rescue for free).

The first round I played with both was incredible. The r7 had a little fade in it (even amongst draw weight) however I was very accurate with it (never more than 5 yards off the fairway) for me. The rescue dual was unbelievable. She picked up the 19* one... I was pin hunting from 200+ yards out with a very straight ball flight.

Since then, the r7 has been hitting mostly very low and left. I went to the range and moved the wieghts to nuetral, which has not helped much. When I am not hitting it low and left, I am seeing a pretty big hook, where my natural ballflight is more of a fade.

The rescue has been very difficult for me to gain in the air since the first round. It seems that I am hitting it fat. I have been playing the ball closer to the front of my stance than I'd for a brief iron, however farther back than a driver.

Obviously, with no seeing video, it's tough for you guys to provide feedback. Any ideas though? I seemed to have picked up an occasional hook with my 3-wood immediately too.

No Driver Game.

I am about to attempt no #1Driver this weekend. It worked for Tiger, it ought to work for me. I seem to be sucking at driver # 1 lately anyway. My drive goes about 210 yards, nice distance (?), however it sometimes gets lost left or right. As a matter of fact,I looked at my stats, it's my driver going out of bounds that keeps my handicap in the twenties (hence my screen name).

I am about to have a go. I am about to leave my driver at your own residence, 4 miles from the course, so that I'm able to resist the temptation. I will tee the 5 wood, which I hit pretty great: 150-200 stright down the middle. Use the 7i the 9i to gain on the green on par 5's, or else I will wedge it onto the green on par 4's.

Your thoughts on No #1 driver?

This ought to get my handicap down to in the teens. Ought to boost GIR.
The sole difficulty is I would've to adjust my screen name from "InTheTwenties" to "InTheTeens".

I am absolutely certain the moderators would be pissed."

Driver and Long Irons

Hello and I would prefer to thank anybody in advance who replies to this thread. I am about a 20 handicap and I do not think you guys can truly provide techniques for my short game as skills in that area will develop with practice. I'll however ask of everybody willing to assist several questions regarding driving and long irons.

I am finding that when I am hitting longer irons (3,4,5,6) I tend to both pull and hook my shots to the right (I am a lefty) and finish up about 10 to 15 yards to the right of where I am aiming. Any techniques to fix this would be good.

I am also finding that when I am driving I'll either (about 50/50) pull the shot to the right (straight) or slice the ball (curves left).

Thank you again for any assist with either situation described above.

Chris.

Should I change to a Tour Driver?

Ive posted a thread or 2 about my inability to hit the driver straight. (Constant hooks with it). This isn't happening with my irons, only the driver. (I play with a Callaway 454 Firm RCH Shaft) Mind you a year ago amongst same driver I was splitting fairways and hitting it long). This year hasnt been no different case at all. Taken 5 lessons immediately and yet not a thing. Seems like when I'm organizing the face looks so closed. I understand that can be mental however I hit the Ping G5 with a regular shaft for a round a month or so back and hit each fairway and hit it long. The face looked a lot lot more square at address for me and I even had a slight fade on the ball. My swing is most liklely around 95-100 mph. (I havent been fitted). Alls Im asking is would it assist me with a square face on my driver and if so what are a number of drivers out there that have a square face at address (Uncertain if this is called a Tour Driver, correct me please if it is not). Gotten to the point I keep the driver in the bag and tee off with a 3 iron. Funny enough the score hasnt truly suffered much at all from this.

I know with no seeing my swing and knowing other things it is hard to create a judgment.

P.S. Erik, I would've submitted my swing long ago however I cant get any shots of it face on at the range, theres a divider in the way. I know I submitted my swing "down the line" in a thread long ago. My swing has transformed a bit from that from the lessons that I'm taking. Oh and Happy Easter to all you guys.
