![]() The DriverI am having a hell of a time with my driver.I do very well with my irons - can hit my 3 iron off the tee in the low 200's however my driver is horribly inconsistent. One day I am lining them down the fairway in the mid to high 200's. The following day I am hitting low hooks 100 yards or so. Utterly no consistency. Unfortunately, the low hooks dominate my game and I finish up using not a thing however my irons. I do not know why my iron swings are so consistent however my driver swing is not. Should not it be no different swing? I would love to solve this dilemma and am considering what steps to take. One thought is to obtain a lesson and only keep plugging until I have got it down. Go to a golf school for one day and stay there until I'm able to feel what I should do. I have got to believe there's something fundamentally wrong with my driver swing and I must understand the way to solve it. Has anybody experienced this? What did you do to solve it. I know there's not a single magic bullets, however I must understand the way to proceed. What's more I only used it as my one swing thought. Have not truly heard any instructors emphasize this move however provide it an attempt for the reason that it seems to provide both more clubhead speed and keeps the flight path straighter. I will keep trying this and make you aware how it goes. Used my new R7 TP 425 for the original time on a course today, and immediately I know why it's the the majority of used driver on Tour, this driver truly deserves to be praised, never drove the ball so well, both long and in the middle of the fairway. Wow, that is how driving ought to be. Read more on this topic Long Irons/Woods/Driver Distance TroubleOk, heres my situation. I hit my pitching wedge 130 yrds, 9 iron- 145 yards, 8 iron- 155 yards, 7 iron - 165 yards, and 6 iron- 180 yards. However then comes the trouble. My 5 iron goes around 185 yards, 4 iron goes 185 yards, 3 iron goes 190 yards. What the heck? My long irons only dont get there for a number of reason. I mean the trajectory on them is fine, even when i feel like i hit them great, it still goes short. I dont get it.Then my driver is a similar thing. I once would drive 290 - 300 yards consistently. Then all of a sudden a month or so ago, i lost around 50 yards on my drives. My swing feels no different, however the ball only doesnt carry like it's supposed to. It is like it balloons or something. And im making use of a 8.5* driver. It is truly wierd. And when i hit into the wind, it amps the effect. please, i need my normal distance back! And for reference, my handicap is around 8-9. Luckily im pretty accurate with my irons, which makes up for the distance and my lack of putting skill. Read more on this topic Other Golf Related Topics
