Hips or arms first

I've been fortunate in previous time month to have been able to play several rounds of golf. I am pushing the majority of my drives right, it's not a slice per say however they're going right.

My question is what starts the downswing. For me I've constantly at the peak of the backswing turned my hips which then pulled my arms down however I saw on Playing Lessons from the Pros that Nick Faldo says the arms ought to start the downswing and then the hips follow both becoming square at impact.

I am hoping to gain the ability to get a round in this weekend and will attempt and begin amongst arms first and the hips. I took several practice swings in the elevator this morning minus a club most certainly and it feels strange having my arms go first.

What works for you?

left arm?

When i swing my iron's and attempt to maintain my left arm straight, i do not make the greatest contact amongst ball and i lose like 30-40 yards if i was bending my left arm on the peak of my swing. Is it that important to maintain my arm straight, or ought to i only keep bending my arm at the peak of my swing, if i make much better contact and hit it 30-40 yards farther?

Left arm

I've been hitting my irons with an in to out swing (I think), however the marks on the bottom of my driver, left by the tee, show an awful outside in swing with my driver. also including an erratic contact point.(marks on the driver from toe to heal. Only yesterday, I concentrated on a straight left arm through out the swing (as well s keeping it closer to my body), and was hitting the ball much farther, and the tee marks were dead straight and more across the sweet spot. I was not hitting the ball any straighter (I've constantly hit it straight), however farther. Would a straight left arm have this much effect, or was I only "in the grove" yesterday. I was also hitting my irons much farther.

Forearm Training

Hi everybody!

I filmed myself today on the range only to discover, that my hands are a tiny bit slow for my "weight shift / hip turn" move in the downswing.

I've 2 options immediately, slowing my hips down (that's sth i'm not able to carry out... I tried it, however it feels to great the way it's immediately and i've memorized that move to much) or increasing my forearm swing speed (that's sth i'm able to do )

Do you've any great advice for me on the way to do that? Is dumbbell teaching ok (this'll just train my bizeps i suppose) or is there anything better for a golfer?

Thank you in advance
