![]() Is this right?!I was studying one of the questions in the Q&A section of "Ask the Top Ten0" section, page 64, GOLF magazine Feb 2006. To quote directly:"When you are playing for true..set 70% of your weight on your left leg, and keep it there through impact" I was practicing this in the house and it seems like an fantastic way for a reverse pivot..no? and my 2nd question: What's the weight ratio when playing your irons? I have always played them with equal 50% on every foot at address..then it going to about 75% right, 25% left (backswing) and then shifting directions to 85% left, 15% right on the downswing through impact..if this makes sense. Read more on this topic How do you warm up before a round?Uncertain if this was ever a thread or not however Im wondering how everybody warms up prior to teeing it up on the first tee. My home course doesn't have a driving range, and a number of the surrounding courses dont either. Ill stretch for about ten minutes or so, sometimes more depending on the way horrible my back feels that day. Ill head to the putting green and putt from about three feet and then work my way back, and hit a number of chips and bump and runs. Then ill use my swing weight on my 7 iron and swing that for a minute or so and then tee it up. What about you guys? Anybody do a number of stuff pre-round that truly helps them?Read more on this topic Need help! Weight shift, sliding...Ok, so i thought my long swing was the large problem in my swing however even with a brief swing i'm all around the place. I've been hitting a ton of thin blocks so i know i'm somewhat stuck and swinging up on the ball too much. After watching a number of tour swings on swing vision i'm amazed at how still their lower body looks in first moves of the downswing. I tend to gain my left hip sliding toward my target and upward as my first move in the downswing. I'm truly struggling with getting my weight shirf correct also. I need a number of major assist on the way to get properly loaded up on my right side. I tend to gain too much weight or not enough weight on my right side. I'm uncertain whether i'm sliding to my right in the back swing or not. I feel as though i constantly am battling either a reverse pivot or only not being able to gain to my left side. My finish usaully feels like my left knee is bent, my lift hip is facing the target, and my back is still arched way behind my hips. This dilemma coupled with a my weight shift issues are only cold blooded murder to the golf swing. I feel as though i cant even work on my sliding until i discover the way to properly get loaded on my right side at the peak of my swing. If i'm able to get to that point then i'm able to work on my first move down. I have a fantastic swing plane however thats about it. I hit everying from fat shots, mostly thin shots, straight hooks, high straight fades, high block fades, and blocked hooks. Basically the sliding gets me stuck inside and swinging up on the ball. It is a true toss up where my ball will definitely go. Attempting to play golf immediately would be scary. Anybody willing to assist me with theses axe murdering moves in my swing are welcome. I'm beyond fustraighted and cannot take a lot lot more! Please! Read more on this topic Other Golf Related Topics
