Make them Match

I was looking over my stats and I saw this in the Scoring Averages table:

GIR Hit Even -0.11 -0.08 -0.08 -0.08
Missed GIR +0.50 +0.59 +0.59 +0.61 +0.63

The scores are for last round, last 5, 10, 20, and total.

Anyway, the easy thought is "if you'll be able to create those match, you will shoot even par." It's sort of a "duh" moment, however it goes back to what Dave talks about in his 40/30/20/10 rule: GIR is supremely important.

I'd a pretty lame round today. It was the worst 76 I can have ever shot... I hit about 2 shots the way I wished. However the "bad" ones - the other 74 I guess - were "not too bad" - they were in the fairway or on the greens, and though my putts never went in, I had tap-ins for par on the 10 greens I hit and I created several 4-8 footers for par on several other holes.

You'll be able to create your GIR Hit and your Missed GIR numbers closer to every other by:
a) missing less greens
b) creating more birdie putts
c) missing greens by smaller distances, on the correct (fat) sides, etc.

Pretty easy, and most likely a dumb post that y'all will say "duh" to, however a thing that was at least post-worthy in my opinion.

What The Hell Is Going On?

Alright this has never happened to me prior to, why is this happening?

Off the tee I've constantly came only a tiny bit over the top so Ive always had a little cut. The cut began on the right side of the fairway and came back to the middle and was controllable by opening and closing the right toe. (Im left handed). Few days ago on the range I made a decision it was time to work on my draw. I wasent sure of the proper way to play it however I read in a golf digest that you take the club paralell in your back swing using your high hands palm facing right behind you and as you swing your same arm rolls a little closing the clubface producing a draw. It allowed me to manage and handle it off the tee and hit it my normal distance of 250 yards. So everything was going great off the tee. Heres the dilemma. When I go to hit my cut the ball draws, when I hit my long irons 3,4,5,6,7 which are urually the greatest part of my game I pull them way off the fairway into the bush. Im pulling everything not drawing. Something is truly screwed up. Any idea what has happened here? Whats the proper way to play a cut and a draw with woods and irons. Any assist would be fine for the reason that ive got 8 rounds in the following 4 days.

I think I am ready to take the plunge

I'm prepared to take several lessons. I don't belong to a club. How ought to I go about finding a teaching pro? I don't desire to get somebody who is only a great golfer, I desire a great teacher. Do you all think it's worth taking 4 or 5 lessons or is it just beneficial if you take a bunch of lessons. I truly do not have the time to devote to a complete collection of lessons. I truly hoping to have somebody identify my swing flaws and provide me a number of pointers on getting rid of them.

Thank you
Sam
