Is this normal?

Hi, everybody. Only began play early this year however have truly worked on my game. Range or chipping on a daily basis. Lately been shooting around 80-85. However had a rather normal round last Sunday, that’s the dilemma. Shot an 83(par 70) true short course 6450. Had 10 birdie opps and converted none of them. On the 10 birdie chances I was +6. Yeah you read that right, plus 6. Had 42 putts. Three putted 7 times. Was wondering if this was normal for the reason that of my lack of knowledge and practise or for the reason that I've a serious difficulty with my putting? Any techniques?

Any disadvange if you choke down on your club?

Does anybody know if there's a disadvantage or bad points about choking down 1/2 an inch on a regular iron shot?

I understand that at my height, I must have my irons cut 1/2 an inch. However, I don't wish to carry out so. I was wondering if there's a bad side to playing by choking down 1/2 an inch.

Thank you in advance for your advice/advices.

Practise Drill Needed

I'm working on keeping my swing on plane - my tendancy is to obtain the club away outside of the target line which throws me well off plane and outcomes in a flat swing with either a pull left or a large high ugly cut - and the pre-requisite diagonal facing divot..!!!

Does anybody know a nice simple drill I'm able to do in the privacy of my own house to gain that first movement correct? I locate that if it goes wrong in the 1st movement it all gets ugly.

Thank you in advance :)
