![]() bad daystoday, i played several holes with my mates as i do on a weekly basis and was feeling great about my game, not nervous or anything and on the first tee, i topped it. well anyway i went on to create an 8, 3 putting on a 300 yard par 4. i didn't think much of it and thought i'd improve as i went on, however i did anything however. the ball was going everwhere except where i was aiming and i topped and thinned several, also including several more 3 putts. i realise that you've to stay positive, however how a lot bad holes does it take prior to you begin thinking about giving up golf? i'm attempting to forget it however what if it happens following week and the week after. how do you handle bad days, please helpRead more on this topic Do I have to be parallel at the top?Lately I have decided to shorten the backswing to 30-35 deg. short of parallel at the top. I noticed that I've a greater sense of timing at the top (capability to hold off and pause only a bit) and I'm able to get set prior to I come down. I have also noticed my driving accuray (fw's hit) is much better. I do not think I have lost that much in distance either. So with all this in mind it seems like the better way to play..only that it may not look too pretty..My question is is everybody parallel at the top? Read more on this topic Voodoo curse maybe? Shanks! So I have read each individual shank related post on this forum and I realize that this has been covered a hundred times and I apologize for not just with the word however also for starting another post. Instead of only saying I've the shanks and asking for a swing fix, I think that I ought to elaborate on my current situation. So I've been golfing for 2 years which is not very long however I've golfed most! Amongst exception of winter months my buddy and I play at least 4 days a week together with hours practicing in the soccer field, range, etc... thousands of hours of golf I would say. Anyway I recently began practicing at an indoor golf dome for the reason that of the weather and I think I've developed the worst strain of the shanks possible. The 1st time it happened, 'about a few weeks ago' I did not even know what a shank was. I had heard the word and I only thought it meant bad golf shot, slice, hook, whatever. Well the following hour was rather embarrassing as I continued to shank each individual ball I hit. In a total state of shock I turned to the world wide web to discover what the hell was going on. I then learned all regarding the shanks what causes them why the happen together with studying all the good post on this site. I went back to the dome with an arsenal of swing fixes for example proper swing plane, weight on the heels etc. Here is the crazy part, each fix seemed to rid me of the shanks however just temporarily maybe ten minutes and they returned. So here is my current situation, when I get to the dome I've a guaranteed 10-15 minutes of good shank-free golf swings then invariably I shank each ball for 30 minutes to an hour and then they go away. My swing does not change, just the result. Interesting side note, although I am shanking it seems to be very precise. There's a target prepare about 75 yards up and to the right of the stall and I will hit that target dozens of times. I took my buddy to watch for the reason that he has golfed his whole life. He could not explain it however he said he was looking ahead to the upcoming season. So why would this happen after years of golf and very much practice? Will this ever go away and ought to I expect it to happen on the golf course? Do we've any witchdoctors on this site maybe they could assist. Thank you.
