![]() Thin to winI know everybody here has heard of this statement sometime in their golfing life. Well, I use that statement 18 times in a round. For a number of reason, I have been beginning to hit the ball very thin from the fairway. However, the outcomes are not bad at all. Whenever I see a playing partner hitting it thin, it goes wayward, way short, way long, etc. Mine always seem to go straight and with pretty great distance control. Is there a fitting problem, swing plane problem, stance issue? I even now do hit it flush, however it seems more and more of my iron shots are hit very thin with no hitting the grass. Do not get me wrong, I am not complaining. I like the outcomes, however it must mean I could get a fitting, fix my swing/stance and begin hitting flush shots with correct spin at the flag. I hit old school Tommy Armour 845s if anybody is interested. Read more on this topic Downhill liesThe shot I've the hardest time with is downhill lies. I've trouble hitting behind the ball. I've tried clubbing up to boost the loft and getting my shoulders parallel to the slope. However I think I'm still dropping my back shoulder during the downswing causing me to hit it fat. Anybody have any suggestions I'm able to attempt to assist with this shot?Read more on this topic Late release? Whats it really mean?Is it likely to release the club to late and yet hit a draw? On my greatest shots I feel as thought my right elbow and arm begin straightening rather early in the downswing. I hit a slight draw and fairly high, a number of my longest shots. When I feel as though my right elbow and arm straighten later I hit the ball lower with a much bigger sometimes out of control hook. I guess I've a poor understanding of what delayed release truly means. TV tapes and articles seem to show the arm and elbow straightening rather late in the downswing, so the hands release powerfully as well. Is my intuitive feel wrong or am I way off on this?Read more on this topic Other Golf Related Topics
