Casting Move *videos*

Hi everybody, only joined the forum two days ago. I picked up golf when I was 12 with a complete year of lessons, and played through high school on the team and such. Once college hit, I entirely dropped the game, and immediately that I have graduated and joined the corporate world, I am attempting to pick up my game again.

My main gripe is this casting move I've at the top to begin my downswing. I could not feel this at all, until I took a number of videos and looked at myself. You're able to view my prior to swing below. I then decided to take a lesson to obtain a couple pointers. The instructor's teaching philosopy was not based too much on mechanics, so my slight casting move was not touched upon. Instead, we worked on getting my hips firing better, increasing my swingspeed resulting in a much crisper and compressing impact on the ball.

While the outcomes of the lesson were satisfying, I would still love to see if I'm able to eliminate my casting move. The second video is my swing after my lesson, and to my surprise, the casting move was still there. I could have sworn that I felt like I was dropping my arms into the "slot" with initiating the downswing with my hips. However I was wrong. As you're able to view, there's the initial cast, however I am somehow able to create up for it and receive the clubhead coming a tiny bit from the inside.

How can I work on eliminating this casting, especially if I'm able to't feel it at all?? I would truly appreciate any assist I'm able to get with this frustrating flaw.

Playing / Practice Frequency

I am stuck shooting around 87 to 90 lately. Attempt to play or go to the range at least on a weekly basis. Can I expect to gain in the lower 80's or even dare I say break 80 (my low round is 81) when just playing on a weekly basis? It's difficult to locate time to gain out more often even when I would like to. Or am I only maintaining?

Your Draw/Fade Method?

My natural shot shape is a high fade, however the're times out there when I need to draw the ball to fit the hole.

I know the're diverse ways players go about shaping their shots, so I was only curious what your basic swing thoughts are when it amounts to the fade/draw? Do you adjust your alignment? Do you manipulate the clubface at impact making use of your wrists and/or forearms?

Personally, I like to maintain it easy. For a fade, I line my feet and clubface up towards the target, however my shoulders are aimed a bit left. For a draw, same principle, different shoulder alignment -- I line my feet and clubface up towards the target, however aim my shoulders a bit right. Both instances, I swing as I normally would, however the slight change in shoulder alignment alters the swingpath enough through impact to shape the shot.

So... how do you love to shape it?
