 poor contacthi, can anybody assist me out? I hit plenty of my shot thin with my irons and driver. I saw a drill in a golf guide which said to end the club quickly after impact. When i do this drill my contact is sweet. I've 3 videos of my swing at the bottom of this webpage, video 1 and 3 are my normal swing and video 2 is me doing the drill. Reason being that modern balls spin less (hence, less back spin than fades of yesteryear) and stay in the air longer than a draw. I have always hit a fade for the past 20 years, however have been working on drawing the ball the past few months. I notice that occasionally I rip a draw pretty far (260 is FAR for me), however you sort of need to stay behing it. Whereas amongst fade, it feels like you are able to only go after it. It does seem that I'm able to get more distance with a fade, however I understood it was only for the reason that it was my habit/self-belief. Any experience with this? Read more on this topic chipping contacthey guys, im a pretty solid golfer w/ about a 9 handicap, and my ballstriking is really great from my driver down to my wedges on the majority of occasions. What i screw up too much is my contact on chip/pitch shots from 35yrds and in (i've even shanked several!).
