![]() Good idea or Bad?Ok, so I'd a terrible flying elbow develop last season and I've given myself a break from even picking up a club a great deal less swinging one. My thinking is that if I provide my body a number of time to forget I'm able to get my flying elbow under control. Is this approach great, bad, or indifferent?Marshall Read more on this topic Back foot coming up too fast?Hey guys, I only recently began out in golf last August 2006, and fell head-over-heels with the game ever since. I'm able to hit the ball pretty solid, however most certainly have the occasional miss hit immediately and then. I am around 5' 6" around 140 pounds, and by no means a successful guy, however rely on my finesse, instead of a power game. (My average yardage I hit my driver is 205 yrds, 19* Hybrid 180, 5 Iron 160, PW 100... etc.)I've taken video of myself at the driving range and noticed that when I'm coming down only prior to impact, my back foot comes up a little quicker than usual. I notice that a majority of golf players keep both feet planted prior to impact with their back foot raising up only slightly. My issue is that my back foot is already on my toe prior to impact (if that makes sense). Here is a picture I've only prior to my impact, and it's clear to see my back foot is coming up immediately. This was brought to my attention to my brother and father saying that I'm losing distance, and can gain more distance if that back foot is more 'planted', which makes many sense. Is this that big of an issue? I'm able to hit the ball pretty solid and in game situations get the ball to my initial target the majority of the time. Would this be a change for the greatest? Or ought to I stick to what is comfortable? I'm most certainly always looking to better my game like nearly each person who plays golf! Any advice, techniques, or comments would be greatly appreciated, Thank you guys! Video 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nrc_bBYDPgg Video 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGLqMKu6opU
Read more on this topic Hands behind the ballOught to the hands always be behind the ball at address? I locate that keeping my hands directly behin the ball works well for my 6-9 irons. For my wedges, I keep my hands above the ball, otherwise the bounce of the club prevents me from creating crisp contact amongst ball. For my low irons, my hands are a bit further behind the ball than with my mid irons. My wrists aren't very strong, and I think this promotes the wrist snap at the bottom of the swing. Trouble is, with my low irons, I am hitting a bit of a hook each immediately and then. Does this have anything to carry out with my hand positioning? Where ought to the hands be positioned with my driver? I haven't ever been comfortable with my driver, and experimenting amongst hands positioned behind the ball, seems to boost my contact and trajectory a bit. However I do not desire to over-correct, or ingrain a wrong or bad habit. Read more on this topic Other Golf Related Topics
