Hip Rotation

Hi everybody,

I've a Swing question and I hope you are able to assist me with it. I filmed myself and what I've observed looks in a number of Parts wrong.

I'm Shaking my hips similar to a Mad Salsa Dancer!

It isn't the 90° Shoulder Rotation / 45° Hip Rotation in the Backswing that Tiger has, it's more 100° Schoulder to 60° Hips and when it amounts to the Downswing, I turn my Hips most earlier then Mister Woods does, which means I come from the Outside in my Downswing pulling my arms a tiny bit up to prevent a fat Cut Shot.

Do you've any great drills that stop me from doing this?

I tried a "Feets together, Full Swing" Drill, however perhaps there's something better.

Thank you in advance

Correcting a Push-Fade

I have only been hitting my woods since my irons are being altered. I am usually decent with my driver, however I was having a push-fade problem yesterday. I am guessing a push-fade difficulty is superior than a pull-hook (out to in swing).

Anyway, I noticed with just 2 balls left (no pun intended), that my shoulders were slightly open in my setup. Could this be the issue? My grip is pretty neutral.

I noticed, however, that I shifted forward during my swing, so I most likely struck the ball with an open face. Any great drills to maintain the head behind the ball with no doing the reverse-pivot?

The're many issues with my swing...however it's just the start of the season.

Thank you for any advice.

How long does it take?

While enabling for the obvious "everybody develops at the own pace", how long does it (or ought to it) take to develop into consistent (not necessarily a wonderful) golfer?

I am beginning my 4th full season. 2 years ago I was shooting consistently in the low to mid 90s, once even carding an 85. Since the start of a year ago I have become erratic amongst driver (off the heel, straight up in the air, you name the mishit and I have done it). The majority of a year ago I shot mid to high 90s. I have seen gains in the my short game, however I even now struggle mightily with anything longer than a 5-iron (I once would hit my woods very well, however have lost the tallent and capability to sweep the ball off the fairway it seems - same flaws as with my driver). I have taken a dozen or so lessons and have corrected a number of pretty serious flaws along the way, however I am still terribly inconsistent. Yesterday for example I went to the range and did not hit ANYTHING well. My greatest shot was about 110 yard six iron (fat and off the heel). Usually I hit my 6 about 175. Rather honestly it was worse than the 1st time I ever went to a range.

How long did it take you to gain consistent? Did you steadily improve, or have you had experiences like mine where your game basically flatlines? Any techniques for pushing through the garbage days?
