![]() Over the TopMy swing is usually nice and smooth until I start the transition from the backswing to the downswing. I make crisp get in touch with my driver and irons, however my ball always seems to slice off to the left mid flight (I am a lefty). I have read that the 2 causes of a slice are an open club face and coming over the top, and I am absolutely certain I narrowed it down to it's me coming over the top. The funny thing is that if you tell me too, I'm able to hit a hook. If you tell me too, I'm able to hit a slice. However I'm able to't hit a straight shot if you tell me too. I guess that is only golf for yah. I have heard regarding the Inside Approach teaching aid, however I do not feel like dropping cash on it. I am only searching for a drill I'm able to do to prevent coming over the top. I truly feel like I am getting close to fine tuning my game to become more consistent. I know what my difficulty is, it's only I do not know the way to fix it. I attempt to pretend that I am hitting the ball out to left field, however that won't do the trick too well either. Thank you for the assist.Read more on this topic consistent ball strikingIt seems that I've a slight tendancy to hit the ball kinda fat, or strike the ground only prior to i strike the ball. I shot around an 80, and if I could quit having those 5 shots a round where I kinda chunk it my score would drop considerably. Any advice? I play the ball in my middle of my stance, maybe slightly forward. I focus on the top part of the ball. any advice?? thank you!Read more on this topic Impact PositionI have been fighting an over the top swing for a lot years and have taken a series of lessons to correct this fault. My swing would be very inconsistant in that I'd pull left or slice right. I have immediately began making use of my lower body to initiate the downswing which has immediately taken the left side of the fairway out of play so I immediately know that I'll be straight or right of the fairway. What I would prefer to do immediately is have the left wrist flat at impact for better ball control as I am pretty certain that the clubhead is beginning to pass my hands at impact. The question is, the way to achieve this. Is it necessary to be pulling amongst left arm in the downswing or is there another technique that I am not doing right?Fred Read more on this topic Other Golf Related Topics
