![]() shanking theoriesI understand that the shanks are caused by the ball contacting the hostel and the're numerous explanations for it. I only went to the driving range a week ago and shanked a whole bucket, something i havent done since i was 12 years of age or so.....however then again i haven't ever been going to the driving range this often (everyday). I was wondering if anyones ever experienced this and took maybe 3-4 days off of golf and their swing was working perfectly again cause this is what happened to me and im going crazy attempting to explain what happened. My theory is that maybe my hands were getting tired keeping them from turning and therefore leading the hostel in to get in touch with the ball, or maybe i was only wearing the wrong pair of socks. Im only wondering if anyones each experienced this and have any explanation on what was happening.Thx PS: theres no way it was caused by standing too close for the reason that i stood a little farther than usual and i even now shanked that ball pretty badly. My iron game is greatly improving and my new Burner driver has been a large improvement. However, I am not hitting any 3W I pick up well at all. I do not know if it's psychological or not. I hit my old '94 Big Bertha 2 iron much better and more consistently than I have ever hit a 3W.FWIW, I am either slicing or hooking them. I just hit a great shot with any 3W I have picked up one in ten swings. I think I am only going to take it out of my bag and maybe add another hybrid for the time being. Thoughts? All my misses are left with my woods, Im wondering if this is for the reason that I dont have enough knees flex at address, which cause's an over the top move. It's something I dont work on alot and tend to forget about for the reason that im working on stance, posture and grip. How much is too much knee flex and whats too little?Read more on this topic Other Golf Related Topics
