![]() Over the top!!!Went to the range tonight with my dad and he throws the club over the top when he starts his down swing, which outcomes in a large pull or the ball starts right and fades back. Yet he think he is hitting the ball straight.A pro has identified the dilemma however my dad says he cannot fell any difference in his swing when he does and does not do it. So does anybody no of any drills to gain him to feel as if he is pulling the club inside (like jim Furjk). I though about maybe hitting balls amongst ball above his feet to flatten over the swing plane. I also tried to gain him to bring the club on the inside on the way down however he could not comprehend the concept that i was getting out. Any ideas guys? The bad thing if it goes he might start beating me!!! Read more on this topic Hitting a Fairway Wood in the Fairway -- What a Concept!Ok, so I have gotten a tad better this summer. This spring my handicap was awful, somewhere around a 32ish. Immediately, after playing my butt off and taking 4 or 5 lessons, I have shaved that handicap index down to roughly 24ish. Not bad! There's one thing that I even now have not been even moderately successful at. I'm able to't hit out of the fairway making use of my woods. If I attempt this, I will hit it thin and the ball will go scooting down the fairway just inches above the blades of grass eventually coming to rest maybe 100 yds downrange, or, I will toe it and the ball will go spinning off to the right -- usually out of bounds. A lesson will not assist, unless I take the pro out for a round of 18. You only cannot mimic a fairway shot at the practice range. I'll say that buying a hybrid has helped. I got a Nike Slingshot Tour #4 24 degree loft. However, I'm able to just hit my hybrid 200yds if I am lucky. For long par 5's, my second shot could be a 300 yarder. If I could just hit my 3-wood off the fairway! What is the trick? Is it stance? Is it ball placement -- middle, rear, forward? Or, is this simply psycological? Ought to I abandon my woods on the fairway and receive a lower lofted hybrid? Read more on this topic Extremely short...Hey all,Where do I begin. First, I understand that all you may do is provide suggestions as you're not able to actually see my swing, however I'm currently working on getting a video for that. Here is my problem: All of my shots are short. To provide an idea I'll provide you a record of a number of my clubs and their distances. And these are considered great shots for me. Driver - 230-250. 5w - 200 3i - uncertain, do not truly attempt that club immediately. I'd guess 180-190 5i - 160 7i - 135 9i - 100 Pw - 90 Gw - 60 Sw - 50 Pretty bad huh? Any suggustions on what I'm able to start looking at? I aim to beginning to take lessons as quickly as I get a number of prior engagements done this month that have been tieing me up. Thank you for all suggestions. ~Brian Read more on this topic Other Golf Related Topics
