Weight Room

This seems the the majority of appropriate board for this topic. How a lot of you out there a) go to the gym for weight/cardio teaching, and b) have a golf specific routine?

I have been lifting weights for about 6 years to develop and maintain strength, while I have been running for about 3 and I will strongly say when I train harder at either, my game seems to develop into touch more solid.

Lately I have been doing exercises geared towards the muscles used in the golf swing, namely back, core, forearms, shoulders and legs (throw in chest and you have got a complete body work out).

Anybody attempt experimenting with their routines?

Too Much Grass! Grrr.

I'm a mediocre player i suppose, usually hit across the 90's off the stick with about a 30 handicap.
Lately i've been getting many grass with my iron shots. From around a 5-iron right down to my SW. However, my balls are still travelling well and getting the intended flight however obviously this is minimising my distance. Is there any circumstance that you think this can be happening? Am i standing too close? Too far away.

Any assist would be appreciated.

is this the move, downplane

is this the move??? i've no trouble doing it in slow motion, when i attempt to carry out it regular speed i cant keep the right elbow close to my hip on the downswing. making an effort to get in the slot, ignore the dipping of my head as i'm exaggerating the move.
