Hip movement?

Do you move your hips sideways during your swing to assist "going trough the ball" ?

3-----1-----2

1) hips at adressing the ball
2) hips at backswing
3) hips at finish

To gain me right, I'm not talking about rotation, only side movement!

Thanks!

Club fitting is well worth the $$

I at last "bit the bullet" and had a swing analysis and rebuilt my clubs and, after 3 rounds and several hundred balls at the range, I can reveal it was clearly the right thing to carry out.

The first thing I noticed was that each iron felt no different weight and balance in my hands. When I swing the sand wedge it feels no different to me as the 7 iron, for example. Secondly my shot grouping is much tighter: miss-hits do not miss by as much as prior to and it's easier to hit shots on line. I picked up 4-5 yards with my irons and 15+ with my 3 wood and driver. In general, what was previously a wonderful result with any club is immediately merely average.

I'm needing to recalibrate my pitching and chipping due to increased spin. The guy who did my clubs believes in higher swing weights to gain increased compression and inertia with less effort. The way the clubs are balanced I do not truly feel the extra weight consciously, however I see the result of it in the ball flight.

The better your swing is to begin with, the more positive the outcomes shall be immediately. If you're a 10 handicap or better, you're cheating yourself out of lower scores (3-4 strokes a round) by not having this done. It isn't going to the golf shop and hitting on a launch monitor and then deciding what flex shaft to purchase. It's a competent analysis (with each club) of shot dispersal, swing speed, launch angle, spin and "smash factor" and then rebuilding the clubs from the head to the grip.

It was not cheap, however the cost was in line with what I would've spent to purchase a great collection of irons and two fairway metals. After you endure the separation anxiety when handing your clubs over to somebody for a fortnight and then go through a handful of days of self-doubt and getting to know your "new clubs", you'll regret having waited so long to have it done.

When you look for a club fitter, shop around, get testimonials. All club fitters aren't equal. The're plenty of individuals who can place clubs together, however you could do with somebody whose the experience and great instincts required to carry out what is just the thing for you.

Launch Monitor and Brand of Ball

I spent 1 hour on Dick's launch monitor testing drivers. I surprised myself with my numbers using new technology, however take into account I currently swing a 3 year of age Walter Hagen driver. This is my question: Does it matter which brand of ball you hit on the monitor?

I hit the Sasquatch, Cobra LD, TM Burner, TM Superquad, and Cally FT-5. Out of the five drivers, the Superquad was by far the greatest club for me. Hurry up Santa Claus!!!
