 Long game troubleDuring this past season I could hit my 3 iron, 3 wood, and driver really great, high trajectory (where I wished it) the sole difficulty was my shot shape, which has been fixed immediately. However after my recent swing change these clubs are low stingers and I could not hit it high to save my life. My 4 iron-lob wedge is just right, and I've gained at-least 10 yards. I know theres no video (will get one soon) however can anybody make a number of suggestions on what could be happening. How do you play this shot? What if there's a forced carry over a bunker? I've had this tricky little shot come up several times this year and it has not been pretty each time. I see several options. 1. Bump and run with a lower lofted club (no forced carry) 2. Use a lofted wedge and accelerate to clear bunker 3. Pick it perfect with no divot The #1 option is good when you do not have the carry and has been a go to shot that I've had good great achievement with. The dilemma has been with #2 that the ground gives way which leads to a fat shot (which normally would not be fat if the ground was not so soft) or a shot that's too long. The distance control is very difficult to predict for the reason that of the ground breaking away under the ball. The #3 option works, however it's difficult to be that consistent.
